The AMC near me seldom plays Indian movies let alone Tamil movies, Ponniyin Selvan II (PS 2) was the first Tamil movie they played and I ended up watching it 3 times and it was a private screening each time. Today they had 2 shows for the new movie “Custody”, one show in Tamil and one in Telugu. I decided to watch the Tamil version, since I was the only ticket reserved they did not bother to inform me and they canceled the show, I found out only after sitting in the theater as they started showing a gory horror movie. Spoke to the manager and he said he can refund me the ticket, since I was already at the theaters I told him I will just watch another movie instead and the closest one to the start time was “Love Again”, a chick flick with Priyanka Chopra.
There I was watching a chick flick by myself (to be fair Nicole Kidman does the same at AMCs), and there were probably 3 couples in the theater. This one is about PC not able to forget her dead fiancé and her troubles falling in love again and how she finally succeeds, all mellowed up I sent a text to the wife and I said “Honey, I am falling in love all over again with you”…
I kept watching the phone as she was typing something for 2 minutes, I knew she was going to say something that’s going to make me cry and yes she did ….
“Liar, you went to a bar didn’t you” …
